Summer nights may be over, but the fun is just beginning. East Lincoln On Stage will open its production of Grease on October 15, with performances running through October 25 in the East Lincoln Black Box Theater. This production is entirely student-designed, with students taking the lead on the scenic, lighting, costume, and sound work that brings Rydell High to life.

The student design team has been building the world of the show from the ground up, translating the look and feel of the nineteen fifties into a space that puts the audience right in the middle of the action. Audiences will be hopelessly devoted to the detail in that work, from concept sketches through final build, which represents months of effort by students learning their craft by doing it.

"The energy around this production has been incredible, from our students and from the community," said Greg Franklin, director of East Lincoln On Stage. "These students are doing genuinely high-quality work, and we want full houses so everyone can see what they've built."
