District Announcements

Recognize our hometown heroes by voting for a deserving Lincoln County Schools classified employee.  Classified employees (including bus drivers, maintenance, teacher assistants, clerical support, and child nutrition) do a tremendous job supporting our students and teachers.  You may vote once each day.  Votes are tabulated at the end of the month.  The person with the greatest number of votes wins a $50 gift card.

Help the Environment and Your School
Help Lincoln County Schools and the environment by recycling your unwanted textiles, which includes clothing, shoes, linens, curtains, coats, and more, in any condition, by placing them in one of the textile recycle bins located at a local school.  Each year, 13.1 million tons of textile waste is generated in the US.  This material generates over 28 million pounds of CO2 each year. For every 490 pounds of textiles a school collects, they will receive money to spend on educational needs.  From now until December 1, the school in the district that collects the most textiles will also receive an additional $1000.

Contact your school for more information about the program.
