Lincoln County Schools juniors and seniors can take advantage of a new firefighter technology pathway through Gaston College. Students will complete three firefighter training blocks over three semesters and then take one additional class after graduation to become a North Carolina-certified firefighter—ready to begin a career with a local fire department.
This hands-on program provides real-world training in firefighting, rescue operations, emergency medical care, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, and more. Interested students should speak with their high school counselor to learn how to enroll.
