Carolina Photography will be photographing fall pictures at Battleground Elementary School on Oct. 22. Every student will be photographed!
You have three convenient ways to order your student's portraits:
1) Pre-Order online through picture day. Visit www.carolinaphoto.net and click "Click Here to Order Photos" then enter your school's name as the "code."
2) Day-of payment: Send the completed flyer with cash or check payment to school to be handed to the photographer on picture day.
3) After picture day proof: Once pre-orders are delivered (approx. 2 weeks after picture day), you will receive an individual proof with an online code for ordering. There will be a shipping charge to the home.

There may be a conference ahead of you, so please wait until the teacher has finished with the conference ahead of you. We are anxious to showcase our student-led conference with you. We are building leaders out of all of our students and excited for them to take ownership in their learning!
Also--we're looking for your input! There are 2 spots where parents can give feedback today. (At the end of the 2-3 hall and the end of the k-1 hall). This is one of our tasks for our school improvement plan, and a way we are looking to Learn, Lead, and Thrive to make BG a great place for all!

Look for a flier (or two!) coming home today (Tues. Sept. 8 ) in your child's backpack with some helpful guidance on determining when is sick too sick for school. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten friends will also bring home a flier about building the habit of good attendance from the start of their school careers.
All our Patriots have had the opportunity to check out library books AND it's a long weekend~what a perfect opportunity to celebrate National Read A Book Day (Sept. 6)! "Every page is a chance to learn, imagine, and grow!"
Our Battleground Patriots are growing, learning, and achieving….and we couldn’t be more proud! ❤️💙 For the second year in a row, Battleground has earned a School Performance Grade of B! This accomplishment reflects the hard work of our incredible students, dedicated teachers, supportive families, and entire school community. We are so proud of the progress our kids are making and the growth happening every day!

September is Attendance Awareness Month. This month on our communication channels, we'll be sharing information on how vital attendance is to our Patriots' success. When students miss school, they miss valuable learning, relationships, and opportunities that help prepare them for the future.
Strong attendance habits start early. Students who are chronically absent in kindergarten are more likely to experience challenges with reading by third grade.
Building the habit of showing up today can make a difference for years to come.

Summer Hours 2026
Bus 57 is experiencing mechanical issues. Students are being transferred to a new bus. The bus is running about 15-20 minutes behind. All students are safe. Thank you for your patience!
