Veterans Day Program post 2
What an awesome Veterans Day program! We are so lucky they all can come be honored by our students.
3rd graders making Veterans Day cards for the assembly tomorrow!
Our staff was hard at work learning new strategies yesterday after the early release of students.
5th graders were hard at work on the early release day. Students worked together to figure out how to determine volume of figures. Students tried to sort between scenarios about weather and climate. It was great hearing the discussion and thinking process by the students.
Catawba Springs was represented at the board meeting to tonight.

Even our 4th and 5th grade students dressed up and enjoyed the day.

Mrs. Beard and Mrs. Cutter started a crocheting club. The students are off to a great start.
We are so thankful for the tea and coffee bar for our staff. Thank you to our Lincoln County Board of Education for this treat.

Fourth grade visited the Schiele Museum where they studied how the settlement of people from various cultures affected the development of regions in North Carolina (languages, foods, traditions). They were able to investigate how animals have adapted to their environments: external structures (fur, claws, beaks), senses, behavior (migration, hibernation, seeking shelter) that help survival.
