🎶 “Raise Your Voice—East Lincoln On Stage is back
with a burst of disco-divine fun!”
East Lincoln On Stage invites the community to experience the joy, laughter, and toe-tapping energy of Sister Act the Musical, running October 2–13 in the East Lincoln High School Black Box Theater. Under the direction of Greg Franklin, this feel-good favorite promises audiences a night of music, mischief, and miracles as the students of East Lincoln bring this story to vibrant life.
Set in the 1970s, Sister Act follows nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier—played by junior Elianah Mukadi—who finds herself hiding in a convent after witnessing a crime. What begins as a clash of habits soon becomes a heartwarming transformation as Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices—both literally and figuratively. Alongside Mukadi, junior Nicia Kolokolo takes on the role of the steadfast Mother Superior, while junior Gavin Rhyne brings his charm and heart to Officer Eddie. Rounding out the cast are senior Kendall Benson as the spirited Sister Mary Robert, senior Laura Davila as the ever-joyful Sister Mary Patrick, and junior Eldon Jackson as the smooth-talking Curtis.
This production isn’t just about singing nuns—it’s about the remarkable work of East Lincoln’s theatre students, who have taken the creative lead on every aspect of the show. From building and painting the set to designing costumes, choreographing the dances, and running lights and sound, Sister Act is a full-scale, student-powered collaboration.
The show is part of East Lincoln On Stage’s 2025–2026 theatre season, themed “Unlikely Journeys, Unforgettable Gifts.” And few stories fit that theme better than Sister Act, where unlikely friendships, second chances, and the gift of music unite to lift hearts and raise roofs.
Performances run October 2 through October 13, with Senior Recognition Night on Monday, October 13. Tickets are available now at EastLincolnOnStage.org/tickets or by calling the Box Office at 704-736-1017 ext. 25302.
Whether you come for the music, the message, or the magnificent student talent, one thing’s certain: Sister Act the Musical will have you clapping, laughing, and leaving the theater with a little extra soul.
