It is Mrs. Gilbert with your weekly message! We hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend! We are looking forward to another exciting week at Iron Station full of learning and memorable experiences. Please take note of the following important events:
Wednesday, October 8th – Our first grade students will be traveling to the park to learn all about safety. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
Thursday, October 9th – Our fourth grade students will head out on a field trip to Hart Square. Be sure your student is dressed for the day’s weather conditions.
Friday, October 10th – We will kick off the morning with All Pro Dads at 7:20am in the cafeteria. We also have Fall Picture Day for all students, so bring those best smiles!
✨ Thank You for RSVPs!
Thank you to those who have already turned in RSVP slips for our Family Night on October 21st, where we’ll be sharing more about the 7 Habits of Leader in Me. We are excited for a fun evening of learning and family connection. If you haven’t returned your slip yet, please do so so we can plan accordingly with our pizza order.
🚂 PTO Walk-a-thon – Going for the Gold!
Our PTO Walk-a-thon is off to a great start! As of Friday afternoon, our online donations were around $1,500. If we can reach $2,000 in online donations by this Friday(10/10), I will dress up as a traffic cone for dismissal! Let’s see if we can make it happen! (Please check the email version of this message for the online donation link or check out the Iron Station PTO Facebook page for more information.)
🌟 Leader in Me – Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind
This month we are focusing on Habit 2, which is all about thinking ahead and making choices that reflect our values and goals. At school, students are practicing setting goals and making plans to reach them. At home, you might ask your child: “What is something you want to accomplish this week, and how can you plan to get there?” These conversations help our Engineers learn that every choice we make is a step on the track toward our bigger goals.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our Engineers on the right track—bright minds and bold tracks ahead!
