Libby Reading App

Remote Learning Day = Perfect Reading Day!

Since we’re home because of dangerous road conditions, this is a great time to curl up, stay warm, and enjoy a good book! Families can access thousands of digital books and audiobooks through Libby—all from home.

No Chromebook required! Libby works on phones, tablets, computers, and many e-readers, so students can read or listen on whatever device they have available.

To get started:

  1. Download the Libby app or visit the Libby website.

  2. Tap “Add a Library” and enter your zip code.

  3. Look for NC Kids Digital Library (K–5) and NC Kids Level Up (3–8). You can add both!

  4. Choose “Sign in with my card.”

  5. Select Lincoln County.

  6. Enter the student’s ID number for the card number.

  7. The password is the last 4 digits of the student ID.

Once logged in, students will have instant access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks—including titles that may not be available in our school library.

Don’t forget the audiobooks! They’re perfect for listening while relaxing, building Legos, drawing, or staying cozy with a blanket and hot cocoa.

Stay safe, stay warm, and happy reading!
