Ms. Middleswarth's English II students put their morphology skills to work, using prefixes, suffixes, and root words to create brand-new product names. Then they swam into the Tank to pitch their inventions "Shark Tank style" to a panel of their classmates.
From clever brand names to confident pitches, these Mustangs proved that knowing how words are built can help you build something big. No one got eaten alive, and we'd say every student came out on top of the food chain!

MUSTANGS IN ACTION
Students in Mr. Gallagher's AP Human Geography class put their knowledge to the test with a giant world map challenge! Each team got a massive map broken into pieces, and the race was on to be the first to put the world back together accurately.
Speed mattered, but so did knowing where every country, coastline, and continent belongs. It took teamwork, communication, and a lot of geography know-how to piece it all together.
Great work, Mustangs!

What an incredible honor for Jaxon Dollar to be officially recognized in front of his school, family, friends, and teammates as a player selected for the prestigious Navy All-American Bowl! 🏈🇺🇸
Thank you to NBC, the U.S. Navy, and especially Admiral Young for attending, speaking to our students, and presenting Jaxon with his official invitation.
Jaxon is one of just 100 top juniors and seniors from across the country selected to play in this game!
The game will be January 9th at 1:00 PM at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and will be broadcast on NBC.

AP Seminar students are ZOOMING in on communication skills!
Ms. Middleswarth's AP Seminar students put their discussion skills to the test with Zoom, the wordless picture book. Each student got just a few seconds to study one image before it disappeared. Then, working only from memory and their descriptions, groups had to talk it out and put the images back in the correct order.
The groups that cracked the sequence were the ones who listened closely, described clearly, and built on each other's ideas. It turns out great teamwork starts with great conversation!
The big takeaway: when everyone holds a different piece of the puzzle, clear communication is what brings the whole picture into focus.
