Media Center Fundraiser Announcement
Our school is excited to kick off a media center fundraiser to help purchase new books for our students! Instead of hosting a spring book fair, we are partnering with SchoolStore to grow our library collection and continue fostering a love of reading.
Students will bring home a SchoolStore lanyard with a card that includes a unique code. To participate, simply follow the directions on the card:
1. Visit the SchoolStore website.
2. Create a parent account.
3. Enter your child’s code.
4. Return the card so your child can receive a prize!
Participants will also have the opportunity to help provide classroom items for their child’s teacher.
Codes will be accepted and prizes awarded through February 13, so be sure to send the card back once you’ve completed the process.
Thank you for supporting our media center and helping us put more great books into the hands of our students!

For remote learning, if your child has Music, Art, or PE today, please look at the Specials Choice Board (pictured) to choose a fun activity to complete at home! 🎶🎨🏃♀️
If your child has library some good choices are:
-setting aside time to read library book (or book from home)
-if they have computer access and can get to their Classlink apps, they can go on the Follett Destiny app then go on a website listed under Online Safety and write 3 things they learned
-Also under their apps they get an electronic book from the NC Digital Library using their Student ID number for their username and the last 4 digits of that same number as their password.
-Another choice is:
https://storylineonline.net is a site to listen to stories read aloud and draw a picture of your favorite part!

Dear Iron Station Families, Lincoln County Schools has called a Remote Learning Day for tomorrow. Students should have brought home learning instructions last week in preparation. Teachers will reach out by 9:00 AM tomorrow through the Lincoln County Schools app with expectations of assignments. Staff will also be available during normal school hours to answer questions through the app or email. We hope all our Engineers stay safe and warm! 💙🚂
