Today we’re celebrating Ms. Ashley — one of the smiling faces that helps start and end our students’ days on such a positive note! 🚌💛

Ms. Ashley has been driving a bus for 5 years, with 4 of those years serving families at Love Memorial. Her dedication and consistency mean so much to our school community.

She says the very best part about being a bus driver is seeing all the smiling faces and having great conversations with the kids. Those daily chats and warm greetings make a bigger difference than she probably even realizes!

Today we’re celebrating Mrs. McDaniel — and what a gift she is to our school community! 🚌💛

For 10 years, Mrs. McDaniel has safely transported students, with 2 of those years serving families at Love Memorial. That’s a whole decade of early mornings, careful routes, and countless smiles in the rearview mirror!

She says the very best part of driving a bus is getting to know the kids from all grade levels. From the littlest riders to the big kids, she builds relationships that make every student feel seen, known, and cared for. That kind of connection makes a lasting impact.

Fun Fact: When Mrs. McDaniel was in elementary school, she dreamed of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader even though the Dallas Cowboys have never been her favorite team! 📣

Let’s give a BIG shoutout to our amazing bus driver, Mrs. Wagner! 🚌💛 For the past 2 years, Mrs. Wagner has been safely getting our kids to and from school with a smile. She says the very best part of being a bus driver is making meaningful connections with the kids on her bus, being a positive role model, and providing a community service that ensures safety and stability for families. She understands that this job is a huge responsibility and it’s one she does not take lightly. We are so grateful for her dedication and heart!

Help us celebrate one of our incredible bus drivers — Ms. Carrie! 🚌💛 For the past 3 years, Ms. Carrie has been a friendly face our students can count on each morning and afternoon. Her favorite part of driving a bus is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the children. She loves making each bus ride fun and always makes sure her students know she cares about every single one of them.

She says the very best part of being a bus driver is interacting with the kids and hearing their stories each day; and we know those conversations mean just as much to the students as they do to her!

The best part about being a bus driver for her is the feeling of independence and the important role she plays in getting children where they need to be each day. That’s such a special responsibility, and she carries it with care!

This past week was National School Counselor Week. Love Memorial would like to thank Lori Abbott for the compassion, patience and expertise she brings to our school every day. A note from Mrs. Miller: On Wednesday, we worked on fractions in a fun way. Students worked in small groups to figure out their answer to problems in their ThinkUp books. They held up the correct answer on their whiteboard to earn a point for their team. Some of the problems had extra points available if you could prove your answer!
