We hope you have enjoyed your Winter Break! Students will not return to school until Wednesday. On Wednesday, all students will report to their homeroom teacher at 7:50AM to pick up their schedules. After students receive their schedules, they will then proceed to first period. Have a great rest of your break!

From your Guidance Department in regards to schedules: We will be removing the schedule change request form on Wednesday. If you do not make a request, by Wednesday, you will not be able to make a change for the spring semester. Remember, the only changes that we will make after break will be for changes in rigor. Any other changes after the break will need principal approval before we will proceed.
Exam week starts tomorrow, and we are wishing all of our students the very best as they take this important step!
Testing will take place from 8:00–11:30 AM and from 12:30–3:00 PM. To ensure a quiet and supportive testing environment, students will only be allowed to check out of school between testing sessions (11:30 AM) or at dismissal at 3:00 PM. For the 8:00 AM EOC testing sessions, students must arrive to their testing locations by no later than 7:55. Once the testing sessions begin, students will not be allowed into the testing room.
Students who plan to leave campus at 11:30 AM after completing their EOC exams must provide a signed parent note for each day. After testing, students will receive a dismissal ticket that will allow them to exit through the front doors.

The NCASA Art Showcase team is still looking for incredible artists to round out our talent in all art media. The prompt is "What does the Declaration of Independence mean to you? " Meet Mrs. Russell in room 709 during Enrichment on Wed. Nov. 19 or afterschool any day for more information and supplies. The deadline for finished work is January 9. You could have your artwork hanging at a professional gallery if we win regionals!
Ms. Holly Drake Joins the NLHS Admin Team
Hi NLHS Community! I am incredibly excited to be the Assistant Principal at NLHS! I was born and raised in upstate New York. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Siena College before moving to Houston, Texas to pursue an opportunity with Teach for America. After spending 14 wonderful years in Texas, my family and I decided to move to this area to be closer to our extended family. I spent the last 3.5 years as an Assistant Principal in Catawba County. I live in Maiden with my husband, James and our two children — Aiden (4) and Olivia (1). Being at North Lincoln is truly an honor, and I am incredibly excited to get to know our students, families, and community members. If you see me around, come say hi! I can't wait to meet you.

We are meeting Monday November 10 to create Ceramic Gnomes, keychains, paintings and jewelry that will be for sale in December at the market. Please bring your $30 dues. This covers your shirt, membership fees, and art supplies.

ACT WorkKeys Assessment Tomorrow: A revised list has been sent to parent email accounts. Check with your parents to see if your name is on the list. Senior CTE students who are not on the list or are unsure if they are taking the assessment will need to meet with Mr. Volk in the 500 hallway at 7:50AM.
