Happy Sunday evening, Pumpkin Center Intermediate families, it’s Mrs. Thomas calling with your Sunday night call. We have had a great week learning and leading. Our students have started Habit Huddles~ so please make sure you ask your student about what they are learning and enjoying most about becoming a leader. Looking ahead to this week and next. Tomorrow, September 15th, Progress Reports will be coming home. Reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. Parent-Teacher conferences are starting, and teachers are sending home sign-up sheets for times. Conferences are essential for conversations about data and an opportunity for classroom teachers to get to know your child better. On September 17th, our PTO will be meeting. We would love for you to join us as you are able. I hope you have had a great weekend, and we will see our students bright and early tomorrow morning.

Parents, don't forget you can still sign up your child for after-school soccer with Charlotte Soccer Factory! Your child must sign up through CSF to be able to stay tomorrow. All practices will be on Thursdays from 3-4. You will pick up promptly at 4:00 in our normal car rider line.

PCIS Community we need you!

🚛✨ Lincoln County Schools is rolling out the wheels for our annual Careers on Wheels mobile career fair at East Lincoln Middle, North Lincoln Middle, Lincolnton Middle, and West Lincoln Middle School!

This exciting event gives all 4th and 7th-graders across LCS the chance to explore career pathways, ask questions, and even check out real work vehicles.

We’re looking for community volunteers who are willing to invest their time, talent, and vehicles—whether at all four schools or just the ones that fit your schedule. Help us inspire the next generation!

📅 Event Schedule:

Setup: 7:30 AM

Students Visit: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Wrap-Up: 1:00 PM

Oct 27 – East Lincoln Middle

Oct 28 – North Lincoln Middle

Oct 29 – Lincolnton Middle

Oct 30 – West Lincoln Middle

💡 What to Expect:

10–15 minutes with each class (conversation + Q&A + vehicle exploration)

No formal presentation needed—just share your career story, duties, and vehicle features!

Bring your work vehicle and expertise. (Optional: photos, tools, uniforms, small giveaways, etc.)

🙌 Help us spark curiosity, fuel dreams, and show students the many careers that keep our community rolling!

📢 Important Update – Bingo Night Canceled 📢 We are sad to announce that our PCP/PCI 1st Annual Bingo Night Fundraiser, scheduled for Thursday, September 11th, has been canceled due to low participation. 👉 All payments will be returned on Monday. We truly appreciate everyone who showed interest and supported the idea, but unfortunately, we did not have enough sign-ups to move forward this time. Thank you for your understanding, and please keep an eye out for future events—we look forward to planning more opportunities to come together as a school community! 💙💛 ~PTO~

Looking ahead to this week and next, Thursday, September 11th is Patriot Day- wear your red, white, and blue to celebrate. On Monday, September 15th Progress Reports will be coming home. Reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. Parent Teacher conferences are starting, we request that all families meet with their child’s teacher to start the year off. If you have not paid your student fee, please send that in. We also have a few classrooms that are awaiting room reps for PTO- look in Apptegy for a message from your child’s teacher if one is still needed for their classroom.
