Due to the rainy weather and the continued forecast of poor conditions, the decision was made to reschedule the Special Olympics Spring Games that were set for tomorrow, Friday, April 25th, at Lincolnton High School. The event will now take place on Monday, April 28th.

We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March 21 by wearing our mismatched and colorful socks. Our socks were a part of the Lots of Socks campaign to raise awareness for Down Syndrome. Thank you to everyone that participated!






The Penny War has officially ended and the results are in. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Penny War. Rock Springs collected $11,000! Great job, Rock Springs! All of this money will be donated to the American Cancer Society through the Rock Springs Relay for Life Team.

After tallying the points, Mrs. Carpenter’s class took the lead for Kindergarten with 7,956 points! In first grade, Mrs. Peeler’s class has taken the lead with 6,611 points! In second grade, Mrs. White’s class remains in the lead with 9,870 points! In third grade Mrs. Yacos' class remains in the lead with 8,761 points! Our fourth grade class who has taken the lead is Ms. McClain’s class with -1,133 points! In fifth grade, Mrs. Hanna’s class has taken the lead with 5,576 points!

After today’s generous donations, we have reached over $3,200 for Relay for Life!
Mrs. Buckley’s class remains in the lead for Kindergarten with 10,430 points! Mrs. Kraushaar’s class has reclaimed the lead in first grade with 5,577 points! Mrs. White’s class is wiping out the second-grade competition with 5,592 points! In third grade, Mrs. Yacos' class refuses to let go of the lead with 4,132 points! Our fourth grade class that has taken the lead is Mrs. Welch’s class with -1,465 points! In fifth grade, Mrs. Beck’s class has a very slim lead with 1,403 points!

PTO is having a giveback night at Chickfila this Wednesday. You can order all day using the app to have a percentage of what you spend on chicken given back to the school. Do you know how Rocky got his muscles? From eating Chicken! He will be hanging out at Chickfila from 6:00-7:30 Wednesday to eat chicken with you!!
