Good afternoon families, this is your Principal Mrs. Beam calling with your weekly updates.
Tomorrow, our school will kick-off the School Store online fundraising program, which helps us earn cash for teachers and classrooms—without students selling door-to-door or handling money. When families and friends shop through SchoolStore.com at over 300 participating merchants, up to 50% of purchases can be donated back to our school. Friends and family can also contribute by purchasing Caring for Classroom gift cards for supplies. Students will soon bring home information tomorrow to help share the program, and those who participate will receive a Book Buddy. Thank you for supporting our school!
-Read Across America Week continues on Monday with “Color War Day.” Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite color from head to toe.

Good afternoon families, this is your Principal Mrs. Beam calling with your weekly updates. On Friday will be our January and February Terrific Kids Ceremony. If your student was selected as a Terrific Kid, you will receive information from your child's teacher. Our K-2 ceremony is at 1:00pm and our 3-5 ceremony is at 1:40pm. Friday also kicks off Read Across America Week! Students are welcome to wear their pajamas and bring a blanket or towel where we will cozy up with a good book and have reading picnics. The reading focus for Friday is books all about families. We are excited for a fun week of reading! Be looking for a graphic with the themes each day next week.
Looking ahead, school is closed for students on Tuesday March 3rd due to many schools being used as voting sites.
Parents, due to safety and capacity concerns, if you come to eat lunch with your child you must sit at the lobby tables or the table in the cafeteria designated for parents. Parents should not sit at the student tables with the class and students who are eating lunch with parents should not invite friends to eat with them. Also remember if your child is sick, keep them home. Students should not return to school until they are fever and/or vomit free for 24 hours. There has been lots of sickness and we want to ensure we are doing our part to keep as many students healthy as possible.
I hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon - we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
