Foods I started off the semester with Apple Cinnamon Muffins. They were AMAZING!

Mr. Lytton's Civics class celebrated Constitution Day on Sept 17th. As you can see, our students were all in on this hands-on approach. Their creativity and curiosity were expressed in ways that will hopefully foster a lifelong interest in history.

Today, we had a minor incident with a microwave. There was smoke, but no fire. Out of an abundance of caution and the safety of our students, the local Fire Dept was dispatched. Students and staff are safe and unharmed. Once the building was cleared, students and staff returned inside the building and continued their regular schedule. Thank you to our local Fire Dept, students, and staff for working together during this time.
What a GREAT experience our WLHS Teacher Cadets had yesterday attending the Aspiring Teacher Summit at UNC Charlotte. We spent our day learning about teaching, collaborating with new friends, and captured insight from inspiring educators all across NC. We had the privilege of being greeted by some of LCS finest! Thank you LCS for the opportunity
