🍕🍪 Hands-On Learning at UNOX!
Mrs. Custer’s Foods 2 students from North Lincoln High had the opportunity to explore the innovation and technology behind combi ovens in the foodservice industry.

Students garnished pizzas and cookies while getting a firsthand look at the latest features these ovens offer—blending creativity with cutting-edge technology. 🔥

Big thanks to UNOX for opening their doors to our students and giving them a taste of the future of foodservice!

🌟 This morning we celebrated Iron Station Elementary for exceeding growth!
Now we want to shine a spotlight ISES Principal, Mrs. Gilbert! 💙🍎

From dreaming of being an ice cream scooper 🍦 to inspiring her school community every day, Mrs. Gilbert leads with heart, wisdom, and joy. Her favorite advice? “Focus on what you can control, and let go of what you can’t.” That mindset continues to guide her leadership and inspire those around her.

We’re grateful for Mrs. Gilbert’s dedication to ISE and for the many ways she makes a difference for students, staff, and families. 💛

🌟 Student Leadership in Action! 🌟
One of our Lincolnton Middle School students was spotted making a difference—picking up trash at a bus stop without being asked. 🙌

That’s what true leadership looks like: seeing a need and stepping up to make our community better. 💙

👏 Way to set the example for others—thank you for showing us what it means to lead with pride and responsibility!

🌟 It’s National Principals Month and today we’re shining the spotlight on Mr. Oakes, principal of Childers Elementary!

This morning we celebrated Childers for exceeding growth — and behind that success is a leader who cares deeply about his students and staff. Mr. Oakes is more than a principal; he’s a mentor, a role model, and even the main chef at home! (And if Hollywood ever comes calling, he’d happily take the lead in a James Bond film.)

His favorite piece of advice? “Always leave something better than you found it — it’s a mark of great character.” That wisdom shows up daily in the way he leads his school.

Take a moment today to thank Mr. Oakes for his dedication and to let him know the impact he makes at Childers and across our district. 💙

💙 A huge thank you to the Lincoln County Public Education Foundation (LCPEF) for supporting innovation at North Lincoln High School through grant funding!

Here are some pictures featuring just a few of our awesome grant items in action:
✨ iPads & portable screens – used by teachers during station rotation learning and even this week during our Leader in Me training so all staff could easily follow the presenter’s screen.
✨ White boards – supporting collaborative projects and planning, like an English class structuring arguments in a graphic organizer on one side and writing constructed responses on the other.
✨ Portable screens – just this morning, AP Seminar students used them to rehearse their upcoming presentation on the Holocaust.

Students and teachers alike have benefited from these resources, and we are so grateful for LCPEF’s investment in our classrooms. 📚🙌

From student to teacher, Mrs. Taylor Doss Baker’s journey has come full circle at Rock Springs Elementary! 🏫🍎

Taylor attended Rock Springs Elementary, North Middle, and North High. Inspired by her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Anderson, she pursued education and never looked back. Today, she teaches EC at Rock Springs, where her love for learning first began. 💡

When asked what she loves most about her job, Mrs. Baker shared:
💬 “I love being able to foster confidence in students by providing them with personalized support and partnering with families. I LOVE celebrating their successes, big or small!”

We are so proud to spotlight another LCS graduate making an impact in our schools. 💙 #WeAreLINCOLN
