Good Afternoon,
I wanted to inform you about an incident that occurred on school property today. We had a traffic stop on our campus that required us to take precautionary measures. As a result, we initiated a lockdown to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
I want to assure you that the lockdown was a precautionary measure, and at no point were any students or staff in immediate danger. The situation was resolved quickly, and our students are safe. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone on campus.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school. Thank you for your continued support. Have a great evening!

Good Afternoon Iron Station Families,
Thank you so much for being patient with us over the past several days! Our heat is fixed! Tomorrow, we will be back in our building. We will operate on a normal schedule unless Lincoln County Schools communicates that we are on a delay.

There will be no school for students at Iron Station on Monday, January 13th. It will be a remote learning day for students. Teachers will be posting in their Apptegy Rooms. Please look for communication from your child's teacher there. This will clarify specific assignments for students. Please do not stress if your child does not have their Chromebook. They can log-in on a different device and the assignments will be due later in the week, to help with students who have no access to a device at home. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. Have a wonderful day.

Iron Station students will still have a Remote Learning Day tomorrow, but due to Lincoln County Schools being on a 2-hour delay, we will have to delay the time to pick up devices. We will begin handing out Chromebooks at 9:30 AM. We will be available at the school for you to pick up a device from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Good Afternoon Iron Station Families,
Thank you so much for your patience today. We are still working on fixing the heat in our building. Tomorrow will be another Remote Learning Day for Iron Station students.
Teachers will be posting further directions in their Apptegy Classrooms. Please make sure to check those for more information on student assignments.
If your child does not have a device at home and needs to come to the school and get a device, that option will be available. If your child needs a device, you may come to the school between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM to get the device. Please do not stress over student assignments. Teachers understand and are going to be very flexible with due dates. We want to work with our families.
Again, all learning tomorrow will take place remotely. It will be a remote learning day for students.

Fourth grade students participated in a “snowball fight” to review and share what we’ve learned about text structures. We hope our own “snowball fight” will bring some snow to play in. ❄️

Good Evening Iron Station Family,
I hope you all enjoyed your snow day! I want to bring you a few updates for this week and beyond.
Our Lost and Found collection has gotten rather large. With the cold temperatures, I'm sure students need many of these items back. From January 13th-January 17th, we will display items in the hallway. We will encourage students to look at items and ensure none belong to them. Please remind students to check this section, because at the end of the day on January 17th, all items will be donated.
Be sure to mark your calendar for January 20th. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school for students.
On January 23rd, we will have class photos. Order forms will be sent home with students this week.
Parents, we want to make you aware that PowerSchool alerted NC public schools to a cybersecurity incident impacting student and teacher data across their global client base. This incident was not isolated to NC, or Lincoln County Schools. PowerSchool has shared that the threat has been contained and that the compromised data was not shared and has been destroyed. For more information, visit the district website at www.lcsnc.org.
We are thankful to have you all as part of our Iron Station Family! Have a wonderful evening!

Today we read "Snowy Day" by Ezra Keats, then we made self to text connections about what we will do in the snow, we then did finished with an extension activity practicing our hands-on "snow" writing CVC words together as a class
