This is Ms. Seagle with some news for the upcoming week!
🚌Our third grade students will travel to The Green Room on Friday, November 21st. Please remember that while the the theater cannot accommodate parents, we do invite parents to meet students at the Chick Fil A inside of Valley Hills Mall, to each lunch with them. If you plan to meet students the approximate time will be 12:00 PM. Third grade teachers will send home reminders and further information on Wednesday.
🎉 Our Food Drive is off to a great start! Please remember the donations will be split between Lincoln County Christian Ministries and West Lincoln ARC. The food drive will run until November 24th. The classroom that collects the most items will win a free recess! Mrs. Gongas' class is currently in the lead!
📄Progress reports will go home with students on Monday, November 24th.

❤️🤍💙We will host our Veterans Day Breakfast on Monday, November 10th at 8:30 AM. We invite all students to wear red, white, and blue in honor of the brave men and women who have served our country. We look forward to celebrating our veterans together!
📢 There will be no school on Tuesday, November 11th in honor of Veterans Day.
💦 Our second graders will be heading to the YMCA for their Safety Around Water Field Trip from November 12th–14th! This hands-on program teaches important water safety skills and helps students build confidence around the water.

💙Our Book Fair has arrived! It will be held November 3rd-November 7th!
💙 Our Nacho Leaders Family Night will be Monday, November 3rd from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The event will begin in the gym. Families will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair on this night.
💙We loved seeing all of your creativity with your Book Pumpkins! It is time to share the winners! Congratulations to Brinleigh Gates, Laney Bisbee, and Mrs. Taylor Grant! These were voted as our winning pumpkins!
💙Thank you again to everyone who donated and advocated for our Blue Jay Fundraiser! We raised over $21,000 for our school with your support. I want to recognize the two families who raised the most money! Great job Xander & Jaxton Lyerly and Heidi & AJ Houk!

Hello, Blue Jay families!
This is Ms. Seagle with some news for the upcoming week!
🎉 Our third grade students will take their Reading Check-In on Tuesday, October 28th, and their Math Check-In on Thursday, October 30th. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s rest and arrives on time each day so they can do their very best.
💙 Our fourth grade students will be traveling to WLMS on Thursday, October 30th. WLMS be hosting the Careers on Wheels event. We hope our fourth graders have a wonderful time!
🧢Students are invited to participate in Hat Day on Thursday, October 30th! For just $1, they can wear their favorite hat to school. All money raised will go directly to support United Way. If your child would like to participate, they can simply bring their dollar and give it to their classroom teacher.
🎃This Friday, October 31st, we’ll be celebrating with a fun Trunk or Treat event for our students in the afternoon. While we’re excited for all the festive fun, we’re asking that students do not wear costumes to school.
Instead, we encourage everyone to join in the spirit by wearing their favorite Halloween or fall-themed shirts. We’re looking forward to a day full of treats and smiles!

❤️ We’re so excited for our kindergarten students to visit West Lincoln High School on Thursday, October 16th for Rebel Journey! Please make sure your child wears red to show their Rebel pride. It’s always a fun and memorable day for our kindergarteners!

Hello Blue Jay families! This is Ms. Seagle with some exciting PTA updates!
Start your Friday morning off right at our Caffeine and Donuts event on Friday, October 10th, beginning at 7:20 a.m. and lasting until the end of car rider drop-off. This event is just for parents, a little morning treat to fuel up before heading to work! We’ll have Hot or Iced Coffee, Alani Nu, and Sun Drop or Diet Sun Drop available. The cost is $5 for a drink and donut, and you can pay with cash or Venmo. This is a great way to start your day and support our PTA!
Then, mark your calendars for Thursday, October 16th, for our Annual PTA Fall Festival from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Join us for an evening of fun with games, food, inflatables, face painting, and more! We’ll also have a silent auction and raffle to support our school. Tickets and food will be available for purchase. Cash or Venmo will be accepted.
And don’t forget, our PTA Candy Drive Contest is happening now through October 24th! Families are asked to send in candy donations for our Trunk or Treat event on October 31st. The classrooms that collect the most candy in PreK–2 and grades 3–5 will win a special Halloween Dance Party!

Next week, October 6–10, is National Bullying Prevention Week, and we will celebrate each day with a fun theme to remind us to stand together against bullying.

🎉 Please remember there is no school Tuesday, September 23rd. This is a day designated for Parent/Teacher Conferences.
🎉 This Wednesday morning, September 24th, our school will participate in See You at the Pole, a student and Parent-led prayer gathering around the flagpole before school. All students and families are welcome to join if they would like.

🎉 Please remember there is no school tomorrow, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day.
🎉 Just a reminder that student fees are due on September 9th. This fee covers the field trip t-shirt, Scholastic News/Storyworks subscription, and a recorder for fourth graders. Parents also have the option to order additional shirts for $12 each. For your convenience, student fees can now be paid online through SchoolCash Online.
🎉 Our first All Pro Dads Breakfast of the year will be this Friday, September 5th. Doors open at 7:20 AM, and the program will begin at 7:30 AM.
