Good evening Blue Jay families. First, we want to thank our Fantastic PTA for a Fabulous Fall Festival. Our Year-Long Fast Pass Winners are Lainey Bisbee, Jace and Rachel Hilderbran, and Avery Cline. These started today. Next, we want to thank everyone for our successful Catalog Sale. We do not have everything finalized for who the top winners are but we will have that next week. Next Monday we will begin our Mittens for the Mountains collection. We will be collecting new gloves and mittens in all colors, shapes, and sizes for our Neighbors in Western North Carolina as the weather is getting cooler. We will continue this collection until November 8. On Thursday we will have a busy day as we will have our PBIS reward celebration, our Glow Dance, and PTA trunk or treat. Students may wear costumes however, nothing scary or masks should not be worn. We think this will be a fun day for students. Looking ahead to the following week, we will have Fall Make-up Pictures on November 6 and our Annual Veteran's Day Celebration at 8:30 on November 8. Please call the school and let us know if you have any veterans who will be attending this celebration.

Good evening Blue Jay families. Please do not forget about our Fabulous Fall Festival tomorrow from 4-6:30. There will be food, games, an inflatable slide, face painting, hair coloring, and a silent auction. The games will end at 6:00 and the silent auction will end at 6:30. Then the next morning doors will open at 7:10 for our first All Pro Dad/Family event of the year.

Good afternoon Blue Jay families. Report Cards go home today. Please go over these with your child and look at areas your child is doing well and areas that may need improvement. Now is the time to discuss areas of concern with your child's teacher. Thursday is our Fall Festival, please make sure to attend this fun event. It will go from 4-6:30. Games and Food will be over at 6:00 and the Silent Auction will close at 6:30 to make sure everyone has a chance to bid. The Pumpkin Contest will go on in the Media Center until Friday. Winners will get a gift certificate to use at the next book fair.

Good evening Blue Jay families. Here are some reminders for the week. Our Check-ins take place next week so we need all students at school on time and able to eat breakfast. On Monday our first graders will be going on a field trip. On Tuesday, our Kindergarteners will be going on a field trip. On Thursday our fourth graders will be going on a field trip. Thursday from 4-6:30 will also be our Fabulous PTA Fall Festival. Games will be open from 4-6. The auction will close at 6:30. By stopping the games at 6, everyone has the opportunity for last-minute bids. Please come out and support our school at this family fun event. On Friday we will have our first All Pro Dad/Family Event. Doors will open around 7:10 so that we will be finished in time for students to begin their check-ins. We will also have our Terrific Kids Ceremony for Pre-K - 2nd grade at 1:30 and 3rd - 5th at 2:00. We hope you had a great weekend and we will see everyone on time bright and early Monday morning.

Good evening Blue Jay Families. Remember that there is no school Monday or Tuesday of this week due to Mandatory Teacher Workdays. On Friday Our Catalog Fundraiser Sale Ends. We hope everyone has been trying to sell, sell, sell. Every student who sells at least one item will be able to attend the Glow Dance. For every 3 items a student sells, he or she will receive a prize. The top seller in the school will receive their choice of Panther Tickets against the Kansas City Chiefs or $100. The second-place seller will receive $50 and the third-place seller will receive $25. Thank you to everyone who was able to contribute to the Western Zone drive for our neighbors in Western North Carolina. We greatly appreciate our Blue Jays!

Good evening Blue Jay families. We hope you are on your way to our STEAM Night for all of our fun science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities. They are glowingly fun! Also, tomorrow is the last day for our West Zone collection of coloring books, crayons, combs, brushes, and plastic utensils. Thank you!

Good evening Blue Jay Families. Tomorrow night is our STEAM night. If you RSVP'd we will have a pizza for you to take home for dinner. If you did not RSVP, you can still come out and enjoy all of the fun and educational activities, as well as, the Book Fair.

Good evening Blue Jay families. At 9:00 on Thursday morning, our Blue Jay Kindergarten Students will have a special event with the WLHS Seniors at the WLHS Stadium. We ask that all Kindergarten students wear red for this event. Parents are welcome to attend but will not be able to enter the building. They will need to go straight to the stadium. Parents will not be allowed to walk in with students or follow buses to the Stadium. They will be able to sit and watch the event. Kindergarten classes will ride the buses from North Brook to and from the event to be able to participate so that we will be able to line them up appropriately. Thank you.

Remember Blue Jays that the book fair is going on this week. Also please continue to sell items from our Catalog. For every 3 items you sell, you win a prize. The top seller will win $100 or tickets to the Carolina/Kansas City Chiefs Game. The second-highest wins $50 and the third-highest wins $25. The fast pass winners were Livie Nale in K, EmmitTuckey in 1st, Preslee Jenkins in 2nd, Rachel Hildebran in 3rd, Sophie Beam in 4th, and Jace Hudson and Ezra Lyndon in 5th. Good evening Blue Jay families. Here are some reminders for the upcoming week. Our Book Fair will take place next week. Thursday will be an exciting time at North Brook. Our Kindergarteners will go to WLHS for a special event with the WLHS Seniors. Then from 5-7 at North Brook we will have our first Title 1 Family STEAM Night. We will be doing fun activities that will focus on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Please make sure to RSVP by Monday if you plan to attend so that we will have enough pizza to hand out. On Friday all collections for our neighbors in Western North Carolina will be due. Remember we are collecting plastic utensils, combs, and brushes. Thanks to New Day Ministries, Risen Church, and Unity Baptist for their generous donation of Food Lion Gift Cards for us to give to some of our North Brook families that are without power. We appreciate everyone's support through this devastating event. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday morning.

Next week is Bullying Prevention Week. Monday is Mix It Up Day. Wear mixed-up clothing and mix up who you sit with at lunch or play with at recess. Tuesday is Give Peace a Chance Day. Wear peace signs and retro clothing to spread peace and kindness. Wednesday is Be Someone's Hero...Wear Superhero shirts to be a hero and not a bully. Thursday is Unity Day so wear orange to be united against bullying. Friday is Put bullying to sleep so wear your pajamas.

Good evening Blue Jay families. Today we sent home our fundraiser catalog. This fundraiser will go through October 18. We use the funds to purchase programs and resources for our students. We are also looking to replace a slide on the playground. Tomorrow is Picture Day so wear your brightest smile. We will continue to collect donations for care packages for the Troops aboard the USS Harry S. Truman until Friday. We will also be collecting donations of hairbrushes, combs, and plastic utensils for our Western North Carolina neighbors through Friday, October 11. Thank you.

Good afternoon Blue Jay families. Schools will be open for students tomorrow on a one-hour delay. This means if you ride the bus and the bus picks you up at 6:45 on a regular day then the bus will pick you up at 7:45 tomorrow on the hour delay. Doors will open at 8:20 and breakfast will be served until 8:45. We look forward to having all of our Blue Jays back in the building. Tomorrow is also Custodial Appreciation Day so we hope you show our custodians how much you appreciate them. We will continue to collect packs of snack crackers, jolly ranchers, popcorn, and peanut butter until Friday for care packages for troops about the USS Harry S. Truman. We also want to help out our Mountain Neighbors in need so we will be collecting small boxes of plastic forks or spoons, and hairbrushes. Thank you.
