Good afternoon Blue Jay Families. Here are some reminders for next week. We will continue our Canned food drive for West Lincoln Arc and Christian Ministries until Tuesday, November 26. As we enter the season of giving, please consider donating to this worthy cause. We will also have another hat day on Wednesday, November 20 for $1 donations for Micaville Elementary in Burnsville, NC. We are trying to get enough $1 donations to equal $1 for every student and staff member at North Brook. If you do not want to wear a hat but would like to donate, please consider that as well. On Friday, we will have our All Pro Dad Meeting at 7:15 and then our Terrific Kids Ceremony for Pre-K - 2 at 1:30 and 3-5 at 2:00. We hope you had a nice weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday morning.

Good evening Blue Jay Families. Here are a few reminders for this week. Tomorrow is Veterans Day so there is no school. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday. We thank you for your service. On Tuesday, students may wear hats for $1. We are collecting money for Micaville Elementary School which is located in Burnsville NC. We hope to collect $1 for every student and staff member to send to help teachers who lost everything recreate happy and cheerful classrooms for students when they return to school. This week also starts our Canned Food Drive for Christian Ministries and the West Lincoln Arc. Many of our community members may need extra assistance right now. As we enter into the season of giving we hope you will consider donating canned food items until November 26. If you have received a letter about returning student registration, then you will need to complete this as soon as possible. This is updating your information in Powerschool which is what the school uses to contact you. Enjoy your day off tomorrow and if you have not done so already, do not forget to thank a vet!

We will be collecting new gloves and mittens in all colors, shapes, and sizes for our Neighbors in Western North Carolina as the weather is getting cooler. We will continue this collection until November 8. On Thursday we will have a busy day as we will have our PBIS reward celebration, our Glow Dance, and PTA trunk or treat. Students may wear costumes however, nothing scary or masks should not be worn. We think this will be a fun day for students. Looking ahead to the following week, we will have Fall Make-up Pictures on November 6 and our Annual Veteran's Day Celebration at 8:30 on November 8. Please call the school and let us know if you have any veterans who will be attending this celebration.

Good evening Blue Jay families. At 9:00 on Thursday morning, our Blue Jay Kindergarten Students will have a special event with the WLHS Seniors at the WLHS Stadium. We ask that all Kindergarten students wear red for this event. Parents are welcome to attend but will not be able to enter the building. They will need to go straight to the stadium. Parents will not be allowed to walk in with students or follow buses to the Stadium. They will be able to sit and watch the event. Kindergarten classes will ride the buses from North Brook to and from the event to be able to participate so that we will be able to line them up appropriately. Thank you.
