Good evening Blue Jay families. I am excited to announce that renovations will start on the Fairview Schoolhouse this week. Several years ago when North Brook had its 100-year celebration, we realized that the building was falling apart. I wanted to make sure that this part of history was preserved so I reached out to Senator Ted Alexander who helped secure a grant so that the building could be renovated and used by our students. Please do not park in the parking spaces closest to the schoolhouse because this will be used for construction vehicles. Construction fencing will be set up around the site. The renovations will take place over the next several months.
Good evening Blue Jay family. We are hoping that the snow and winter weather is behind us and that we will have a normal week. On Friday we will have our All Pro Dad/Family Meeting at 7:20. Then at 1:30 we will have our Pre-k-2nd grade Terrific Kids Ceremony and at 2:00 we will have our 3rd-5th grade Ceremony. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we will see you in the morning.
Good morning Blue Jay families. Due to road conditions, Lincoln County Schools will again operate on a remote learning day. Stay safe and warm and we hope to see everyone in the morning.
Lincoln County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow due to the threat of icy road conditions. Doors will open at 9:20 and a light breakfast will be served. For bus riders, the bus will pick you up approximately two hours later than it usually does. If the bus picks you up at 6:30 on a normal school day, it will pick you up around 8:30 tomorrow. District Officials will continue to monitor road conditions. If conditions should worsen, the district will switch to a remote learning day. This decision would be made no later than 7:30 tomorrow morning. Stay safe and we will see you in the morning.

Kindergarten registration opened up this past week. Please register your upcoming Kindergarten students as soon as possible so that we can assign them a time for Brigrance Screening on May 1. Thank you for your continued support as we work to create a "win-win" situation so that your students can achieve their academic potential.

Good evening Blue Jay families. Progress Reports go home on Monday. Please go over these with your child. Celebrate the areas that he or she is doing well in and discuss how he or she can improve on areas that they may be having some difficulty. The dental bus will be here on Tuesday for students who returned their forms. The Valentines Dance will be on Friday. The cost is free but concessions will be sold. All items will be $1. We look forward to seeing everyone on time in the morning.
Good evening Blue Jay Families. Here are some reminders for next week. Wednesday is our 100th Day of School and we are proud to say that we tackled 100 days. Also on Wednesday, our 5th graders will be touring West Lincoln Middle School. Please make sure that you have returned your permission slip. On Friday, our 5th graders will be learning about instruments at West Lincoln High School to determine if they would like to sign up for band. This is on the same permission slip. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday morning.

Good evening Blue Jay families. Here are some reminders for next week. Tomorrow, students and staff are out of school for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. On Tuesday, our 3rd grade will be taking the Reading Check-in. On Thursday, our students will be taking Class Group Pictures. If you would like to order pictures, please return the order form and payment with your child on Thursday. This information was sent out this week. Looking ahead, the 100th Day of School will be February 5th and our theme will be we have tackled 100 days of school. The dental bus will be here on February 11 and information about this was also sent home this week. Please remember in the mornings to pull all the way down for car riders, this helps our line move quickly. Remember the tardy bell rings at 7:45 so please be on time and early if you want your child to eat breakfast. Have a great weekend and we will see you on Tuesday.

Good evening Blue Jay families. LCS will operate under a two-hour delay tomorrow. There will not be a hot breakfast served but students will have access to pop tarts. The doors will open at 9:20. This means for students riding the bus if it comes at 6:45 on a regular day, it will come at 8:45 tomorrow. Please be careful when dropping off students. We still have some slick spots around the building.

Also in case we would have to dismiss early for bad weather in the future, please make sure your child's teacher knows how they would go home.
Please make sure to update your information in PowerSchool. Currently, only 48% of our students have updated information. Starting back in January we will be drawing for prizes out of the students that have the correct information. If you do not know how to make sure your information is correct, please call the school on January 6. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
