Progress Reports went home today. Please go over these with your child. Reach out to your child's teacher for ways to help support your child at home. Let's work together to help your child have a successful year.

Good evening Blue Jay families. We hope everyone had a nice weekend . This is a short week with students only coming to school on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, we will be handing out the items to students that were ordered in the catalog sale. If your child is a car rider, we will send their orders home with them. If your child is a bus rider, you will need to come and pick it up because we will not be able to send them home on the bus. On Tuesday our third graders will be going on a field trip. We are delighted to let you know that we raised about $740 for Micaville Elementary in Burnsville, NC. These students only started back to school this week. We raised $370 as a school and then a generous donor matched our amount. Next week we still have two days to turn in canned food items. We are going to split our cans this year between Christian Ministries and the West Lincoln Arc. We know that this is an expensive year and we have already asked so much but if you are able to bring in cans, it will be greatly appreciated. We are so thankful for each one of our Blue Jay family members!

Good afternoon Blue Jay Families. Here are some reminders for next week. We will continue our Canned food drive for West Lincoln Arc and Christian Ministries until Tuesday, November 26. As we enter the season of giving, please consider donating to this worthy cause. We will also have another hat day on Wednesday, November 20 for $1 donations for Micaville Elementary in Burnsville, NC. We are trying to get enough $1 donations to equal $1 for every student and staff member at North Brook. If you do not want to wear a hat but would like to donate, please consider that as well. On Friday, we will have our All Pro Dad Meeting at 7:15 and then our Terrific Kids Ceremony for Pre-K - 2 at 1:30 and 3-5 at 2:00. We hope you had a nice weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday morning.

Bus 65 is running about 20 minutes late due to not being able to crank this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Good evening Blue Jay Families. Here are a few reminders for this week. Tomorrow is Veterans Day so there is no school. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday. We thank you for your service. On Tuesday, students may wear hats for $1. We are collecting money for Micaville Elementary School which is located in Burnsville NC. We hope to collect $1 for every student and staff member to send to help teachers who lost everything recreate happy and cheerful classrooms for students when they return to school. This week also starts our Canned Food Drive for Christian Ministries and the West Lincoln Arc. Many of our community members may need extra assistance right now. As we enter into the season of giving we hope you will consider donating canned food items until November 26. If you have received a letter about returning student registration, then you will need to complete this as soon as possible. This is updating your information in Powerschool which is what the school uses to contact you. Enjoy your day off tomorrow and if you have not done so already, do not forget to thank a vet!

Good evening Blue Jay families. This is a reminder that there will be no school tomorrow for students due to the Mandatory Teacher Workday. On Wednesday there will be Fall Make-Up Pictures. On Friday we will have our Veteran's Day Celebration at 8:30. Please call the school and RSVP by Wednesday morning so we will be prepared to have enough light breakfast available. Friday is also the last day to turn in mittens for the mountains and school supplies because one of our church sponsors, Mt. Vernon will be delivering these items for us. Congratulations to our Fast Pass Winners: Boone and Gracie Clark for Kindergarten, Emmett Tuckey for 1st grade, Presley Jenkins for 2nd grade, Wyatt Coleman for 3rd grade, Sophie Beam for 4th grade, and Ezra and Dylan Lyndon for 5th.
