Hello Blue Jay Families. North Brook is proud to be a Purple Star School which means we support military-connected students and families. Please help us with collecting items for care packages for the troops aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. We are collecting cereal bars, coffee creamer, jolly ranchers, gummy worms, sandwich crackers, popcorn, mixed nuts, plastic silverware, peanut butter, sour patch kids, hand wipes, individual tissue packs, and cheez its. Please send all donations by Friday, October 4. Thanks for helping us support our troops.

Good afternoon Blue Jay families. Due to school being canceled for students tomorrow, we will reschedule our Terrific Kids celebrations to next Friday, October 4. Good evening Blue Jay families. We hope that everyone is enjoying their long weekend. As students finish up iReady and Dibles assessments, teachers will begin to let you know ways to help your students at home. Remember that September 24 will be an early release day for parent/teacher conferences. Please take advantage of this opportunity to discuss areas that your child is doing well in and areas that may need improvement. Returning student registration emails have gone out, please make sure to complete these online so that we have updated the information in PowerSchool. If you have not received this information or information regarding Apptegy, then the school does not have your correct email address and it needs to be updated. We hope you all enjoy tomorrow off from school and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early on Tuesday morning.

Good evening Blue Jay Families. This is Principal Carroll with some reminders about next week. All third-grade students will take their Beginning of Grade Test on Monday morning. For all parents who were able to attend the information session last Thursday, it was discussed that this test is simply to see where they are in their reading performance. There is no need to be worried or anxious about this test. It is important however for your child to be at school on time to get breakfast and to be able to take the test. It is the expectation that all of our Blue Jays come to school on time every day. Attendance is important. We look forward to another great week watching our Blue Jays SOAR!

We appreciate your patience as we work through making sure they both run smoothly. On August 20 a representative from the Boy Scouts will be at North Brook to talk to all students in grades K-5. If you do not want your child to listen to this short presentation, please let your child's teacher know. On August 21 from 6:30-7:30, a representative from the Boy Scouts will be at North Brook to talk to any interested parents. Also on August 21, a Girl Scout representative will be at North Brook to talk to any interested girls in grades 1st through 5th. If you do not want your child to listen to this short presentation, please let your child's teacher know. On August 21 and 22 our Pre-K students will have staggered enrollment. On August 22, a Girl Scout representative will be at North Brook to talk to interested parents from 5:30-6:30. At 6:00, on this same night, we will have a transition meeting for all 3rd grade parents to discuss Third Grade Testing Requirements and the upcoming Beginning of Third Grade Test. This is an important meeting and we hope to see all third-grade parents that night. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone Monday morning.

Good evening Blue Jay families. We had an excellent first day of school. To help make our car rider line move more smoothly tomorrow, please remember to fill up both lanes to the yellow barrier. We need all cars to pull up and not leave large open gaps between each other to make sure that Highway 274 is not blocked by North Brook traffic. Thank you so much.

Good evening Blue Jays. We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow morning. Doors will open at 7:20. Breakfast will be served until 7:45. Students entering the building after 7:45 will be tardy. Kindergarten students should not arrive until 8:00 on their staggered enrollment day. They will eat breakfast altogether.

This is a drop-in session to meet your child's teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. If you were not able to attend our Glow Night at Westwinds Park and do not know who your child's teacher is, we will let you know when you arrive. Good evening Blue Jay Families. This is a reminder that on Monday, August 5 from 5-7, you will be able to meet our new assistant principal, Mrs. Staci Brice, as well as, find out who your teacher will be next year. We will be handing out glow sticks to light up the night to kick off our GLOW Theme of Growing Leaders Out West. Please remember to use both parking lots and do not park in the grass. See you there.

Students, we can't wait to see you in two weeks!
