The Wildcat Week in Review is a weekly content newsletter that showcases some of the learning opportunities that are happening at Lincolnton Middle School. In science this week sixth grade students are studying changes in the earth’s surface due to erosion and deposition. Seventh graders are learning about warm and cold fronts and how this impacts weather in our area. Eighth graders are studying chemical and physical properties and changes in matter.

Lincolnton Middle School is partnering with our central zone schools to collect items for disaster relief in Western NC. Our school is collecting large, scent free trash bags and disinfectant wipes. Please turn in items to your home room teacher if you are able to help!

The Wildcat Week in Review is a weekly content newsletter that showcases some of the learning opportunities that are happening at Lincolnton Middle School. Sixth and seventh grade band is learning music fundamentals while the eighth grade band is practicing pep band tunes for the upcoming 8th grade night at LHS. Chorus students are practicing mock auditions for honors chorus. In art, students are working on a unit on composition. Students are using plant drawings to illustrate positive and negative space. Understanding space is important in creating better composition.

TIME CHANGE: Kickoff for football at Kings Mountain tomorrow (9/25) has been moved up to 4:30pm due to their high school hosting a JV game afterwards - please plan accordingly!

The Wildcat Week in Review is a weekly content newsletter that showcases some of the learning opportunities that are happening at Lincolnton Middle School. Sixth grade math students have been learning to calculate surface area and perimeter on 2D shapes and seventh graders are learning to calculate the unit rate of various items. In eighth grade math students are practicing solving one and two step equations.

Today’s (9/17) golf match at Westport Golf Club has been cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow - Wednesday (9/18) at 4:00pm. Go Wildcats!
