Mrs. Scercy's students have been learning to understand the parts of a calendar. They have been studying the seasons, the twelve months and also the days of the week. In addition to learning about calendars, the class had a pirate day to celebrate the completion of a unit on Peter Pan.









Attention Wildcat fans! Our Fall Spirit Week is coming up September 16-20. Show your Wildcat pride by dressing up each day and also by attending our final home football game of the season!

Health classes are beginning a unit on intellectual health. Students are learning about our ability and openness to learning new things. In PE, students are wrapping up their unit of kickball style games and fitness classes are participating in fitness stations.

Our 6th grade social studies classes have begun an introduction to the five major world religions while our 7th grade classes have been comparing and contrasting these religions. In 8th grade, students are comparing and contrasting primary and secondary sources.


Wildcat fans:
Due to air quality and heat concerns, the home football game time vs Chase Middle School has been changed. Kickoff will now be this evening at 6 pm at Lincolnton High School's Stadium. We hope to see you there!

All spectators ages eighth grade and younger MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian or responsible adult 21 years of age or older in order to enter and remain inside the stadium or gymnasium.
The legal guardian or accompanying adult will be responsible for the child’s supervision and actions at all times.

Our ELA classes have been busy setting goals for the year, using stories and reading passages to learn about point of view, key vocabulary and conflict development. They have also been visiting the LMS library to find books for home reading and DEAR (Drop Everything and Read).

We had a wonderful first day back with students at LMS! It's going to be a fantastic school year!








Due to projected inclement weather, Middle and High School Open House for Lincoln County Schools will be moved from Thursday, August 8 to Monday, August 12 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.


Due to inclement weather, all athletic events and practices will be canceled for Thursday, August 8. This will also affect scrimmages on Friday, August 9. Please check your school’s website to see when the scrimmages have been rescheduled.

This is Mr. Hovis, principal at LMS, calling with an update regarding tomorrow's Open House. In preparation of tropical storm Debby's impact to the area, and for the sake of safety, Open House has been reschedule to Monday August 12th from 4 pm until 6 pm.
