Our SRL Fall Festival is Thursday, October 24th! We would love to see all of our Lowder families come out and have a great time at this annual event.

Please see attached graphic for Red Ribbon Week next week!

Good afternoon S. Ray Lowder families! This is Assistant Principal, Jordan Beam, with updates and reminders for the remainder of the week. I hope you all had a great couple of days off and are excited to be back in the building tomorrow. This week is National School Lunch Week to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. The week of October 21st will be our Red Ribbon Spirit Week with dress up days to remind us of the importance of staying drug free. Monday students wear all RED, Tuesday dress in western wear, Wednesday wear tie-dye, Thursday wear your favorite team attire, and Friday dress for your future career. On Thursday, October 24th we will host our PTO Fall Festival from 5:00 to 7:00pm. More information about this annual fun-filled event will be coming soon, but we hope families will begin sending in bags of individually wrapped candy or other small items to be used for prizes for the games at our festival. This event is always such a fun time for our school community and an important fundraiser for our PTO. As always, we greatly appreciate your support of your students and our school community. I hope you all have a great evening, and we look forward to another productive week ahead!

A huge thank you to Mr. Fraser who is a family member of one of our Lowder Lions. He took the time to visit our school to share his love of music through his bagpipes. He played for our students and taught them all about the instrument. We look forward to having him back!

Congratulations to our August/September Terrific Kids! These students demonstrate respect and responsibility each day at SRL and we are so proud of them!

Good afternoon S. Ray Lowder families. This is Kelly Saine hoping you all were all able to enjoy this beautiful weekend ,especially considering the damage from Helene last weekend. We will continue collecting plastic utensils this week to send to western North Carolina to assist with disaster relief. The class who brings in the most donations from each grade level will receive a snack and a movie break as an incentive to help those who are in need. Wednesday is fall picture makeup day. Students who were absent on picture day will have their pictures taken for the yearbook. You may purchase those pictures online at Strawbridge Photography or by returning your payment to school. Please call the front office if you need an additional flier for portrait packet information. Also on Wednesday afternoon, our kindergarten students will travel to LHS for the first annual “There’s No Place Like Home…Coming” event. Kindergarten students from each elementary school in the LHS feeder zone will meet the seniors on the 50 yard line where they will receive a token representing the passing of the LHS homecoming spirit. In return, our kindergarten students will pass along a token to wish them the best in their future endeavors and remind them of the support they have from their L-town community. It would be fantastic if our kindergarten students could wear black and gold in the spirit of homecoming week for this event. On Friday, our kindergarteners will take their first field trip to Patterson Farms and should wear their SRL class T-shirts. All other students are invited to wear black and gold in support of the LHS homecoming football game. Also on Friday, we will have All Pro Dads at 7:15AM in the media center. All students and guardians are welcome to attend for fellowship and to show your support of our students. October is a busy month at Lowder, and students will receive a list of October events and lunch menu on Monday. The week of October 21st will be our Red Ribbon Spirit Week with dress up days to remind us of the importance of staying drug free. On Thursday, October 24th we will host our PTO Fall Festival from 5:00 to 7:00.

Patriot Day 🇺🇸

Good afternoon S. Ray Lowder families. This message is being sent in support of our LHS athletic department. I know many of you are looking forward to tomorrow night's varsity football game and are excited to cheer on our Wolves! However, I'd like to remind all parents or guardians of the Lincoln County Schools Fan Code of Conduct for all athletic events. In addition to respectful conduct by all students and spectators, all students eighth grade and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian or designated responsible adult 21 years or older to attend athletic events. The legal guardian or accompanying adult will be responsible for the child's supervision and actions at all times. LHS administrators will be at each gate, and students who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21 will not be admitted into the game. We appreciate your support of our fan code of conduct that serves to keep all spectators safe and ensure our athletic events are enjoyable for all. Have a great evening, and we wish our Wolves the best of luck in tomorrow's game!
